What is Maazul?
Maazul (معزول) is a free service that gives you a subdomain under maazul.space, such as home.maazul.space, published as a real DNS record on authoritative nameservers. You point it at an IPv4 address, an IPv6 address or a CNAME target, and manage it from a bilingual Arabic and English dashboard or through the Dynamic DNS API.
Is Maazul free?
Yes. Creating subdomains, editing their DNS records and using the Dynamic DNS API are free. Optional paid plans with higher limits may be offered, but the free plan does not expire.
Does Maazul use a proxy or a redirect?
No. Records are published directly on authoritative DNS, so dig and nslookup return your own IP address or CNAME target, and visitors connect straight to your server.
How does Dynamic DNS work on Maazul?
Create a token for a subdomain in the dashboard, then have your router, server or a scheduled task call POST https://maazul.com/api/ddns/update with the header "Authorization: Bearer <token>". If the request does not include an IP address, the public IP it comes from is used. The change is live within the record TTL, 300 seconds by default.
Can I use HTTPS with my subdomain?
Yes. Because the name points directly at your server, your server obtains its own certificate for it, for example from Let's Encrypt, and serves HTTPS as usual.
Does Maazul support IPv6?
Yes. You can create AAAA records, and a Dynamic DNS update that sends an IPv6 address updates the AAAA record of the subdomain.
Is Maazul an alternative to DuckDNS or No-IP?
Yes. It serves the same purpose: a free hostname that follows a changing home or office IP. Maazul offers A, AAAA and CNAME records, a separate API token per subdomain, and a dashboard in Arabic and English.
What happens if I stop using a subdomain?
Names that stay unused for a long time may be paused and later released so others can use them. Logging in to your account or sending a Dynamic DNS update keeps a subdomain active.
